Cortney Nicole Gibson, Esq.

ATTORNEY

 

Cortney Nicole Gibson is an experienced attorney with a vast and varied experience profile, including probate law, debtor/creditor law ,divorce law, DYFS law (New Jersey's Division of Youth and Family Services), contracts, health care fraud, criminal defense, traffic matters, and she has founded a cutting-edge, indie-based entertainment law practice.  She has worked on the District, Circuit and Federal court levels, including family and municipal courts, and completed clerkships with the Department of Justice Health Care Fraud Task Force, and a Judicial clerkship at the Sixth Circuit Court. 

 

Mrs. Gibson matriculated at Thomas M. Cooley Law School,  and was the recipient of the Blue Book Award for Academic Excellence, and the Raymond Burr Award for Excellence in Criminal Law.

 

Aside from her dedication to the practice of law, Mrs. Gibson is committed to serving in the community,  donating her time and resources to many non-profit organizations including Amnesty International, CREDO,

St. Jude Children's Hospital, and PFLAG (Parents, Families, Friends and Allies United with LGBT People). 

 

Mrs. Gibson conducts prolific informational seminars throughout the Metro Detroit area designed to teach "street law"  to the youth of the inner cities and rural communities in order to reduce their inclusion in the penal system, and to prevent recidivism.

Yvette T. Soklove, Esq., LLM     

ATTORNEY  --  OF COUNSEL

 

Yvette Soklove is seasoned in  many facets of the practice of law, including wills and trusts, divorce, child advocacy,  contracts negotiation and real estate law.  Ms. Soklove has completed internships with a vast number of experienced attorneys in the Michigan and New Jersey areas, and has amassed a tremendous amount of expertise.

 

Ms. Soklove matriculated at Thomas M. Cooley Law School, and has recently graduated with honors from Temple University's Trial LLM Program.

 

Prior to her entry into the practice of law, Ms. Soklove enjoyed a long career in social work and education, serving as a teacher for the Pleasantville School District for over 20 years.  She has also been an instructor of criminal justice on the college level, and has experience advocating for children on many levels. 

 

Ms. Soklove is an extremely active philanthropist and community activist,  and has founded organizations for cancer awareness, youth advocacy, poverty eradication and minority inclusion in the practice of law and legal education.  

 

Ms. Soklove is not currently a partner, but is currently New Jersey licensed, and is affiliated in an of counsel capacity, assisting on Federal matters.
